Tom Yum Soup Pavilion
Architecture, Interior
The Tom Yum Soup pavilion is located in a factory in Ayutthaya. It is a place that challenges the boundaries between constructed and natural. The space within the pavilion is shaped by natural materials, creating a cohesive relationship between the building and forest.
The pavilion is pushed to the edge of the water side, creating an organic canal into the land, hidden in the tiny forest next to the office. The area was initially designed for the welcome area of factory visitors. Visitors are encouraged to walk through the forest before seeing the entrance and the building becomes a piece of the surrounding itself.
The interpenetration of inside and outside of balconies becomes to the bridge that connects to another side of the canal.
